Larry C. Barks, 80, of Sedgewickville died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 22, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to Paul and Lucille Propst Barks.
Larry and Bobbie Kay Smith Barks were married Oct. 31, 1965, at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church. She survives him in Cape Girardeau.
He served two years in the National Guard.
He was a cattle farmer and Newell-Rubbermaid fork lift driver.
Larry enjoyed hunting, raising cattle and making hay.
Survivors include his wife; son, Rodney Barks of Patton; daughter, Emily (Michael) Wahlers of Cape Girardeau; brother, Jerry (Glenda) Barks of Jackson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scotty Barks; and infant sister, Glenda Barks.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Patton. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Randy Shrum, will follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Sedgewickville Lixville Lutheran Cemetery.
