Patsy Lou Dixon Sharrock was born July 5, 1940, at the family home in Sedgewickville to William Grant and Sadie Seabaugh Dixon. She was their fourth child of five and third daughter.

Pat passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the hospice unit of the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, where she had been a resident after experiencing a stroke in October 2019. Friends and family mourn her passing and remember her fondly.

She graduated from Patton High School in 1957 and from cosmetology school in Jackson.

On July 30, 1960, she married Dewel David Sharrock of Patton. They lived happily for almost 60 years on their farm in Patton, gardening, farming and ranching. Dewel passed away Dec. 21, 2022.

They had one daughter, Kimberly Sharrock Ash, married to Scott Stephen Ash of Lutesville, and five grandchildren, Andrew Ash (Meredith) of Burlingame, California, Aaron Ash (Oksana) of Monument, Colorado, Aubrey Ash Page (Benjamin) of Parker, Colorado, Anastasia Ash of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Julia Ash of Waco, Texas. Patsy is also survived by four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ora Dean Bennett of Farmington and Lora Jean Hall of Festus; brother, Larry Charles Dixon (Clara) of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, J.R. Dixon; and her husband.

Pat, as she was generally called, loved her family deeply and well, was always concerned for their welfare, enjoyed visits with them and was interested in news from them. She was a talented crocheter, providing many doilies and coasters over the years for the Harvest Festival auction at their church, Reagan's Chapel in Patton. She had an affinity for babies, small calves and flowers.

Visitation and funeral service were held Wednesday, June 5, at Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Patton. Officiating was Pastor Michael Davis. Interment was at the Patton United Methodist Cemetery.
