Meet London Cureton, Woodland High School's 2024 Valedictorian. Heading to Missouri State for nursing, Cureton excelled in sports, leadership roles, and academics. Her advice: live in the moment, make memories.

Parents: Ashley and Roger Vance.

Post-graduation plans: Attend Missouri State University in Springfield to earn a degree in nursing and become a CRNA.

High school activities: Beta-MO vice president, FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, Pep Club, yearbook, basketball, volleyball and track and field.

Favorite high school experience: Tie. Making history at my school for winning a girls basketball division championship my freshman year, then again sophomore and junior year. Making it to state in pole vault my senior year.

Biggest role model: Mom. She has always taught me to stay true to my values and that it is OK to put myself first sometimes.

Advice to underclassmen: Live in the moment and make memories with the important people surrounding you, because four years goes by quick. Always say yes because at the end of the day, you do not wan any regrets.

Three words to describe high school: Stressful, memorable and short.
