Woodland Math Whiz Winners Announced: Kindergarten through fourth-grade students showcased their math skills in categories from number recognition to division. See the top performers from each grade level.

Woodland students in kindergarten through fourth grade competed earlier this month in the Math Whiz. Five students from each classroom moved on to the final round for a total of 15 students per grade level. Three winners from each grade were named.

The categories were recognition 0-100 (kindergarten); addition facts (first grade); addition and subtraction facts (second grade); addition, subtraction and multiplication facts (third grade); and addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts (fourth grade).

Students placed by getting the most correct answers in a minute. Winners include the following:

Kindergarten: Shiloh Gemeinhardt, first; Chase Long, second; Darcy Long, third
