Students now have expanded pathways to further their education thanks to a growing partnership between Southeast Missouri State University and Three Rivers College. SEMO President Dr. Carlos Vargas and TRC President Dr. Wesley Payne signed new articulation agreements this month.

“It is a pleasure to be able to expand on our agreements with TRC so students have a seamless transfer experience to SEMO to earn their bachelor’s degree,” Vargas said. “I am also pleased we have added three new articulation agreements to make some of our newest and innovative programs available to students transferring.”

The articulation agreements lists coursework, broken down by semester, for both TRC and SEMO. These agreements place students on a path that can guarantee a bachelor’s degree in four years total, helping students to maximize their efforts at each school and achieving their career goals faster.

The new agreements design eight additional pathways not previously available and create pathways for SEMO’s newest programs — aviation management, business analytics, and financial econometrics. SEMO now has 34 articulation agreements with Three Rivers, providing students who have earned an associate degree at TRC a direct path to seamlessly transfer to SEMO.

TRC is also a participant in SEMO’s Transfer Mentor Program which offers students a mentor during their time at TRC through their first semester of enrollment at SEMO. This helps students plan and track their degree program and provides access to SEMO’s academic advising and degree management system.

SEMO’s Admissions Office opened a Transfer Center in November to help transfer students more fully navigate their college experience at SEMO. Since then, they have helped over 1,000 students make the transition to Southeast. The Transfer Center is a free resource for any student interested in transferring to SEMO.

If you are interested in joining the Transfer Mentor Program, contact the Transfer Center at (573) 651-2255 or email at transfer@semo.edu.
